Description: La Banca Dati Geologica nasce nella seconda meta` degli anni 80, per rispondere alla crescente richiesta di informazioni logiche e strutturate sul territorio, necessarie per le funzioni di programmazione, coordinamento ed indirizzo delle scelte e degli interventi in ambito territoriale-geologico. Il lavoro e` stato svolto dall'allora Settore per la Prevenzione del Rischio Geologico, Meteorologico e Sismico di Regione Piemonte, in collaborazione con l'allora Settore Territoriale di CSI Piemonte, strutturando ed integrando i dati gia` raccolti con il CNR-IRPI. Il dataset in oggetto individua in base a documentazione storica i tributari che nel periodo compreso tra il 1880 e il 1980 hanno dato luogo a violente piene torrentizie, non necessariamente in conoide.
